Do
I Need An Energy Certificate?
Yes
- From October 2008 almost all non-dwellings and public buildings (public
buildings require a DEC
Display
Energy Certificate) will require an Energy
Performance Certificate (EPC) with some exemptions.
Non-Domestic buildings which are placed on the market for sale
or lease require a Commercial Energy Performance Certificate.
You don not require an EPC if your commercial premises is less
than 50 sq. m Gross Internal Area.

Instructions:
1. Simply select the building type from the dropdown box.
2, If you need to calculate the area in sq.m for the
building total internal floor area use the calculator
functions to calculate your total floor area. When your total
area is known simply click "Use Calculator Value" and
then click on "Total" - the resultant figure is then
displayed. Please note this should be used to calculate small
commercial units up to around 250 sq.m. For larger premises
please contact us.
3. If you already know the internal floor area please enter
the value directly into the form field box for square metres and
then click on
"Total" - the resultant figure is then displayed.
The prices quoted
exclude VAT and are indicative only. Prices quoted assume that

No dimensional survey data and/or building plans, building
services data is available, therefore requiring an on site
inspection visit, and collection of data, for report collation
of the business premises. Price includes EPC lodgement fees
and accompanying EPC recommendations report delivered
electronically in pdf format.

be used to calculate DEC Display Energy Certificates quotes
