Energy Assessors also referred to as NDEA
Non-Domestic Energy
Assessors are responsible for calculating energy ratings
for commercial buildings. Energy Assessors produce the EPC
(Energy
Performance Certificates) for non-dwellings.
There
are different types of energy assessor to inspect a property,
dependent on the type of use of the property, and the type of
equipment installed within the building.

From 6th
April 2008 the Government has introduced new measures
for the energy performance of buildings. The legislation
will affect the owners of existing commercial buildings,
public buildings and builders of new commercial
buildings, and property developers how provide new build
homes for sale or rent.
Under the new
regulations an EPC
(Energy
Performance Certificates) will be required in most cases,
with few exemptions. |
